Thank you for your unwavering support over the past four weeks since we unveiled our inaugural course, ‘Future-proofing your career in the Era of Artificial Intelligence’ by Robin Hills.
As previously announced, the maximum supply of access passes for our first course is capped at 750 passes. Initially, our plan was to open the allow list, conduct the presale, and then, if any passes remained, offer them for general sale to those outside the Flare community.
However, our team has decided to tweak our strategy to provide added value to Flare community members participating in our presale. To achieve this, any passes not minted during the presale will be burnt, potentially reducing the total supply below 750.
Let’s delve into our burning model
The presale is scheduled to commence on the 28th of March and conclude on the 11th of April, spanning two weeks. During this period, 750 passes will be available for minting at $99 each, with over 20% of these passes already reserved for allow list participants.
For instance, if by the end of the presale, only 450 passes are minted, the remaining 300 passes will be minted and subsequently burnt, bringing the total maximum supply down to 450. In contrast, under our initial model, these 300 passes would have been offered for general sale. The general sale would have targeted the 400,000+ online students Robin Hills has taught online over the past decade.
But why adopt this approach?
The Flare community has been our extended team since our inception on the Flare Network over a year ago. By making the initial sale of our first course access passes exclusively available to the Flare community, we aim to grant them ownership of an exclusive pass to our first course, marking a significant milestone for both the Flare Network and the $300 billion e-learning industry.
Following discussions with Robin Hills, the creator of our first course, we have agreed to set aside some presale passes as a future creator incentive since Robin will potentially miss out on incentives from the general sale. Any passes beyond this amount, as well as those minted by the Flare community during the presale, will be burnt.
Robin’s endorsement of this decision stems from his belief that the Uppercent model has the potential to positively disrupt the industry he has dedicated himself to for over a decade.
When will the burn occur?
Upon the conclusion of the presale on the 11th of March, any remaining passes will be minted and subsequently burnt.
Conclusion
We hope that our implementation of the burning mechanism will provide Flare community members participating in our presale with exclusive access passes, either from the pool of 750 fully minted passes or from a reduced supply, limited to those minted during the presale. Furthermore, all passes will be in circulation post-presale, eliminating the need for a general sale and any associated delays.
